Higher Education Law and the Administration of Science
The Institute for European and International Higher Education Law and the Administration of Sciences was founded on 1 April 2017. It is financially supported by the European University Trust and the German University Foundation. The mission of the Institute is to shed light on national, European and international higher education law and the administration of science and to participate in further development in these areas in the interest of free and open discourse.
Global Networking in the Area of the Management of Sciences
The Institute offers a multilingual program and seeks to bundle global networking in the area of the management of sciences. It understands itself as a point of contact for national, European and international public authorities, for science organizations as well as for public and private universities and other research institutions in Germany, Europe and worldwide, that want to engage in cross-border activities and envision transnational co-operation and the establishment of branches.
Research and Development
The Institute is engaged in researching and teaching national, comparative, European and international higher education law and the management of sciences. It offers summer school programs, advanced training and regular conferences on current problems of higher education law. Furthermore, it publishes the HRZ – Zeitschrift für Hochschul-, Berufs- und Bildungsrecht, in German, and the Higher Education Law Journal, as its English counterpart, as well as a research paper series.
